It's fair to say that BBAFC has experienced phenomenal growth in senior football in a few short years.
Up to 2013 BBAFC was only a Youth and Junior football club. Tired of losing quality players to other clubs in their teenage years, a vision was born to develop senior football.
In 2013 BBAFC created and entered a Men's First Team in Senior football for the very first time, playing that inaugural year in AFF Div 1. Fast forward to 2024 and our Men's First team is playing NRFL Div 2, along with our U23's (Reserves), plus we have 14 community Senior Mens Teams and two Community Senior Women's Teams.
With the club having invested in the youth through our Director of Football, the aim is to provide a pathway for our youth into quality senior football. It's very exciting as a club to every year hand out 10, 15 and 20 year service awards to our dedicated and committed players.
KIT
All senior players wear our Adidas strip.
FEES
Senior fees are $260 per player. We do provide an option for a team to pay in bulk at a discounted rate before season start.
SEASON
The season generally runs from early April until September.
GROUNDS
Senior football predominantly plays home games at Lloyd Elsmore Park where we have our club rooms that we share with the Howick and Pakuranga Cricket Club. As such, it's one of the nicest club rooms and bar facilities so as to enjoy a cold one or two after the games. It's important to the club to develop a positive team and club culture, so we encourage all our teams to enjoy the after match at the club rooms.
COMMUNITY MEN'S FOOTBALL
There are currently 12 senior men's team playing in the NRF across 10 different divisions. As such we provide a number of opportunities for senior players of all differing abilities, whether purely social or more competitive.
We are proud to have some long serving teams and teams with cult followings - The Phins, Thunderbirds, Red Bulls, and Kebabs to name a few.
COMMUNITY WOMEN'S FOOTBALL
We have two women's community teams, in 2024 one team played in the more competitive Conference Grade, and th community team, Foxes played in NRF Div 4. Senior women play football on Sundays, followed by a traditional lunch catered by the home team. Please check out our specific Womens & Girls Page.
OVER 40s FOOTBALL
Not forgetting the more mature players of the club, there is only one team playing Over 40s football currently. The legends of the club are 'Saints'. The "Thunderbirds" used to be an O40's, but in 2023, with the retiring older players, many sons of the original and existing players wante to join the fun, so they entered back into the Senior ranks so many father son combinations could enjoy the game together.
